Why doesn’t your hearing aid work?

If you have a hearing loss that is causing problems with your everyday relationships and you need a hearing aid one of the first things to consider is NOT what hearing aid will I get but more importantly who will I choose to get the hearing aid from.

Hearing aids are just part of the solution, the whole process of hearing rehabilitation leads to success. Find a Hearing Rehabilitation Specialist who listens to your needs and the needs of those around you. If there is a rush to get you to spend money you have to think that the aim is the improvement of their bottom line and not your hearing welfare. Always get a second opinion and do not feel pressured into making expensive snap decisions.

Hearing loss is a health issue and not a retail opportunity, the rapport and trust you have in your hearing specialist is the key to a successful hearing aid fitting, you will need to work together.

You may be surprised to learn that most hearing aid shops are NOT Australian owned any more so it becomes very important to do a little bit of research and choose a Hearing Clinic that is independent and local.
